About the painting
A meeting at Blackamoors Head an old coaching inn at Nottingham between Jeremiah Brandreth the revolutionary known as The Nottingham Captain and Agent Provocateur known as Oliver the Spy who was hired by the government to spy on the revolutionaries in order to capture the instigators.
The painting took a full year including historic research into how the scene would have looked between Jeremiah and Oliver
and living conditions such as the clothing they wore, furniture, walls, windows and doorways, streets and lighting all contributed to the final painting. Includes 32 Limited Edition prints, 32 being the age The Nottingham Captain was finally caught and sent to trial for treason at Derby County Court and finally sentenced to hanging.

The painting is currently exhibited at The National Museum of Justice in Nottingham
